Today in WMH: Earliest Musical Instrument, or Saber-Toothed Chew Toy?

Image7/18 Today in Weird Music History: 1995.  On this date in 1995, the oldest known musical instrument in the world was discovered in the Indrijca River Valley in Slovenia. Or was it?  The estimated 45,000 year-old relic was fashioned from a bear bone and had four artificial holes along its length.  However, scholars disagree as to whether it is truly a musical instrument or simply a carnivore-chewed bone.
