5/19 Today in Weird Music History: 1764.  Leopold Mozart’s 8-year-old son, Wolfgang, performs for a royal audience with King George III in London.  At one point the youngster sits on the lap of court composer Johann Christian Bach, youngest son of J.S. Bach, and both play the keyboard.  They trade off measure-by-measure, so effectively it is remarked that it seemed as if only one player were performing.
